Data
Learn how Workbase handles objects, records, lists, views, imports, and enrichment.
Data in Workbase is built around objects, records, views, lists, and relations. Use these building blocks to keep company, contact, customer, deal, and workflow data structured enough for people and agents to use.
Core concepts
- Objects define a type of thing your workspace tracks, such as companies, contacts, or deals.
- Records are the individual entries inside an object.
- Attributes are fields on objects or lists.
- Views are saved ways to look at records or list entries.
- Lists group entries around a workflow without replacing the underlying object model.
- Relations connect records, conversations, files, notes, tasks, and other resources.
Recommended order
- Define the object before importing data.
- Add the attributes the team actually uses.
- Create a default view for everyday work.
- Add lists for focused workflows.
- Use enrichment only when the expected output is clear.
